GOhack25: Cybersecurity, Community, Collaboration.
GOhack is back! For the third year running, the event brings together the Swiss cyber community in Zurich. From November 6-8, 2025, the Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS) will become a meeting place for leaders from business, politics, and research – as well as students, ethical hackers, and security enthusiasts.
With its unique mix of symposium, EDU tracks, security arcade, and a live bug bounty challenge, GOhack25 once again becomes the place where knowledge, practice, and community meet.
Symposium: IT, IoT, OT – Connected and vulnerable?
The GOhack25 symposium on November 6 focuses on the intersections of IT, OT, and IoT. Together with leading voices from politics, business, and academia, we’ll discuss the risks and opportunities of a highly networked world, strategies against cyber threats, and the responsibility that comes with it.
Speakers include Mario Fehr (Government Councillor of the Canton of Zurich), Hans-Peter Käser (BACS) and Prof. Aanjhan Ranganathan (Northeastern University). Additional perspectives from industry – such as Zweifel, Stadtwerk Winterthur, or Supercomputing Systems – will also be represented. The symposium will be moderated by Anne-Sophie Morand.

Pre-Event Highlight: Live Crisis Simulation
On Thursday afternoon, Nicolas Germiquet (BDO Digital) will host an exclusive live crisis simulation – a unique opportunity for IT decision-makers to experience a cyber incident first-hand.
The day will close with a panel discussion and an apéro riche & networking session.
Who will top the leaderboard in 2025?
On 7 and 8 November, the stage belongs to the ethical hackers. During the live bug bounty challenge, they’ll test real systems and uncover vulnerabilities under controlled conditions.
In 2024, the winners were XEL, simioni, and collfuse. But who will claim the top spot in 2025?
Alongside fame and glory, a prize pool of over CHF 50,000 awaits the best hackers. At the award night, the leaderboard winners will be honored and inducted into the GOhack Hall of Fame.
EDU Tracks: Practical Knowledge for Business and Tech
Running in parallel with the challenge are the EDU tracks, offering hands-on talks, discussions, and workshops.
In the business track, experts will show how even small measures can have a big impact, why a clear incident response plan is crucial, what cybersecurity looks like for major events, and how security awareness can be strengthened.
The tech track offers deep dives for security professionals – from the question of how secure SAP systems really are, to business logic attacks, plugin ecosystems, quantum security, and AI-driven malware. A highlight: the Hacker’s Mindset session, which gives insight into how attackers really think.
Workshops: Don’t just listen – get hands-on
In addition to talks and panels, there are also opportunities to get actively involved:
- Crypto-Workshop: Deniable encryption (FFHS – Reza Hedayat)
- Crisis Training – live! (Swisscom – Marcus Beyer)
- Hands-on Pentesting with Hack the Box (Swisscom – Antoine Neuenschwander)

SWITCH Security Arcade: Save the Cat Clips!
A brand-new highlight awaits visitors in 2025: the SWITCH Security Arcade.
The scenario: VisuCorp has deleted every cat video from the internet – too many hours of lost productivity. Your mission: bring them back!
Two players. 30 minutes. 5 challenges. Infiltrate VisuCorp HQ, outsmart the systems, and return the cat clips to the net. Game on!
More than talks: Community & Collaboration
GOhack is more than just a conference – it’s a place where community, learning, and collaboration take center stage. For three days, participants will debate, hack, celebrate, and connect.
At networking sessions, during the apéro, or at the award night – connections are made here that last well beyond the event.
